Man takes advantage of Rs. 96 lakh bank loan after allegedly producing false documents


Mysore / Mysore: Authorities Sri Kanyakaparameshwari Cooperative Bank Limited, filed a complaint against a man for allegedly producing false documents and using a loan of Rs. 96 lakh from the Bank. GV Balu, a resident of Nrupatunga Road 1st Cross in Kuvempunagar, is the accused.

Based on the complaint filed by Bank General Manager (GM) KN Nataraju, the Devaraja Police Department registered a case on October 1 under sections 465, 467, 470, 471 and 420 of the IPC. Inspector Prasanna Kumar is investigating.

In his complaint, the Managing Director of the Bank said that Balu, while taking advantage of the loan of Rs. 96 lakh, produced the mortgage deed and instead registered it in the name of the Bank at the office of the sub -register, he (Balu) had used false seals and signatures to make the mortgage deed look genuine and produced the same to the Bank and took advantage of the loan.

During the verification of the documents, the Bank authorities noted differences between the documents produced at the Bank and the documents produced during the mortgage of the site, according to the complaint.

The Managing Director of the Bank also said that when the Bank authorities questioned Balu about this, Balu allegedly confessed to making the mistake and also delivered a letter in this regard in writing.

Nataraju accused Balu of having created a false document from site 586 in Nachanahallipalya, mortgaged it to the Bank and made use of the loan.

Meanwhile, Devaraja Inspector Prasanna Kumar, speaking to SOM, said that when the accused was summoned to the police station for investigation, he (Balu) said the documents were not false and that all documents produced by him were original and authentic. Therefore, to find out the truth, we investigate.
