Autumn Roberts, mortgage loan officer – Who is she and what can she do for you?
With long established roots in Fremont County, Wyoming Community Bank is more than experienced bankers, they are your partner, your neighbor, your friend. The people who work there are part of this community just like you and me. They care and it shows in the service they provide. Mortgage officer Autumn Roberts is one such person.
We took a moment to talk with Autumn about her day at the bank and what makes Wyoming Community Bank great.
Autumn Roberts has worked at the Wyoming Community Bank in Lander since October 2017.
Tell me what you do at Wyoming Community Bank and what you like about it.
I am a mortgage loan officer for WCB. I cover the Lander, Hudson and Dubois areas while our loan officer, Kathy Caprioni, covers Riverton, Shoshoni and Thermopolis. We offer a variety of loan options in the mortgage department. I can help you through the process of buying a home, refinancing your home, and even building your dream home. There are many different options we have that may be tailored to your specific situation.
I like the challenge of this industry. Every day is different and comes with its own challenges. It’s a joy to see the excitement of first-time home buyers when we’ve gone through the whole process and they finally have the experience of home ownership. I love when I get follow up photos and texts from them in their new home.
What are some common mistakes people make when taking out a mortgage?
The most common misconception is that a mortgage is “one size fits all” when in reality every situation is unique and different and is specifically tailored to each borrower.
It’s also a good idea to meet with a lender before you go out and look for homes. Having a pre-approval letter in hand helps the process go much more smoothly. It also lets the borrower know what they really qualify for so they don’t have their hearts set on a home that’s over budget.
Tell me a little about you.
I’m from Sheridan, WY, and I’m a Wyoming girl at heart. My husband grew up in Fremont County and we moved back to the area 7 years ago. I like the diversity of activities offered by our department and my family and I make the most of it. I also like to be active in my community and give of my time as much as possible. I am very active in my local church and sit on the board of trustees for Lander’s Christian school, Elevation Academy. I had the privilege of being part of Leadership Fremont County this year and enjoyed learning more about what makes this place we call home so unique and special.
